Part One

Dr. Kim Legaspi, the definition of put together.  At least that was how everyone saw her.  Yet here she was again staring at the computer screen.  It had been three years since she had seen Kerry and she still thought of her everyday.  This had become almost a routine for her.  At least once a month, if not more, she sat down at her computer….opened her email…typed Kerry's address….and then wrote her the most beautiful love letter ever.  It was always different.  But it was always from the heart.  The problem was in three years since she had walked away from Kerry she never had the guts to hit send.  She always told herself this time would be different but it never was.

But, this time it was different.  Kim had always written long, beautiful letters but today all she had was one line.

Message:  I wake at night and can still taste you.
This was all she had.  It was all she could think.  Last night Kim awoke from one of the most erotic dreams she had ever had.  It was Kerry.  It was always about Kerry.  But this was different.  It was like Kerry was there.  Kim could feel her soft skin, hear her moaning and yes, taste her.  No matter how many women Kim had been with since Kerry (and to be honest there weren't many) it was always Kerry.

What if she did send the email?  What could possibly happen?  Surely Kerry had moved on with her life.  All Kim knew was that Kerry was still at County.  A few months before Kerry had an article published in a medical journal.  While reading it Kim had almost fallen out of her chair.  At least now Kim knew where to find her beloved.

With all these thoughts in her head Kim didn't hear the door to her office open. "Dr. Legaspi…"  the voice startled Kim and she quickly closed her laptop.  "Am I interrupting anything?"

"Dr. Thompson.  No, I'm fine.  What can I help you with?"  Kim tried quickly to collect her thoughts…surely her face must be flushed from
thinking about last nights dream.

"Are you sure you are ok?"  Dr. Thompson asked.

"I'm fine.  Just thinking"

Dr. Thompson knew better.  She knew the look of a woman with something or someone on their mind.

"I saw your office light on and I was wondering why you were still here.  Your shift ended an hour ago.  Is everything ok?"

Kim quickly glanced at the clock.  Laughing she said "I must have lost track of time.  I was just catching up on some correspondence."

Dr. Thompson smiled at the young doctor "well get out of here.  You spend enough time here.  I'm sure there is someone else who would like to spend some time with you."

Dr. Thompson pulled the door shut and walked down the hall.  If only she knew.

Kim opened up her laptop to close things down and of course to erase the message to Kerry.  As Dr. Legaspi looked at the screen she noticed her email was closed.  Had she closed it when Dr. Thompson walked in?  Of course she closed her computer so quickly she probably just didn't remember doing it.  But, she had this sense of doubt looming over her.  "Come on Kim" she said out loud "pull yourself together."  Kim opened her email back up and went to the sent messages.  Just to be sure she told herself.  And, there is was, her email to Kerry.  Kim set her head down on her desk and almost started to cry.  What would Kerry think?  After three years this is the message Kim sends her.  Why couldn't this have happened when Kim wrote a beautiful letter telling Kerry how much she loved and missed her?  Kerry would surely be upset this was almost obscene.  Should she send another message…apologizing to Kerry.  Maybe she should just pretend it never happened.  Then again maybe she should just go home and have a drink.

Dr. Kerry Weaver walked into her beautiful townhouse in Chicago.  It had been a very long day and she was seriously looking forward to putting on her most comfortable clothes and relaxing. Kerry walked past the picture of Kim that was sitting on her coffee table.  This picture always took her breath away.  Kim had been lying on the floor reading a book dressed in her University of Illinois sweatshirt and boxers.  She had on big fuzzy slippers, her hair was flowing down over her shoulders and her glasses perched on her nose. Kerry had snapped the picture of her when Kim glanced up at Kerry with a look that could on be described as true love.  No matter how many times Kerry walked by this picture she always had to pick it up and look at….run her finger over Kim's face and think of what could have been.

Kerry set the picture down and decided what she needed was a big drink and a hot bath.  She set off for the master bathroom to start her bath and then to the kitchen for some scotch.  As she made her way back to the bathroom, scotch in hand, her thoughts again went to Kim.  It seemed like Kerry was thinking about Kim all of the time anymore.  Whenever she saw a movie that she thought Kim would like or a book she would enjoy and especially days like today when Kerry needed her make her bad day go away.  Kerry took a deep breath and shook her head.  "This is not going to help Weaver…take your bath and get over yourself"

After her bath Kerry dressed in her favorite sweat pants and the one thing of Kim's she had never given back, the University of Illinois sweatshirt.  Kerry sat down at her computer to check out EBay.  She had found the most beautiful lamp and she was watching it closely.  The auction ended tonight and Kerry knew she was going to get the lamp for a little of nothing.  While Kerry waited for the EBay screen to load her computer informed her that she had one new email message.  She had time before the auction ended so she opened her email account.  Kerry gasped.  She couldn't believe her eyes. She never thought she would see another email from that address. Kerry was caught between wanting to open the message and being scared out of her mind to open the message.  What is Kim just wanted something silly like her sweatshirt back.  Maybe it was just a virus and Kim still had Kerry's name in her address book.  Kerry knew she had to open it or she would spend the rest of the night just staring at Kim's name.

Finally, with a very deep breath and a very large drink of her scotch Kerry moved her cursor over the message and double clicked her mouse.

I wake at night and can still taste you.

Nothing Kerry could have imagined prepared her for this.  She could hear Kim saying these words and Kerry's body responded.  She felt a
shiver run through her and a sudden wetness between her legs.  How could Kim still cause her to feel this way?  It was like Kim had never left.  All the emotions from all those years ago came flooding back.  Kerry felt the tears begin to flow down her cheeks.  But, this was different.  Kerry was not the same woman she was three years ago.  She had become the woman she wanted to be.  She was strong, comfortable with her sexuality and very, very out.  This was the Kerry that would respond to Kim's email.  Not the Kerry from so long ago.  This was the second chance Kerry had waited for and she was not going to waste it.

Message:  I wish I would have told her that I love you.
Kerry hit send and hoped the message would find its way home.

Part Two

Kim Legaspi sat at her dining room table shaking her head.  Why had she sent that email?  Kerry was going to be so pissed.  Kim poured herself another drink.  This had to be her last.  If she went upstairs to check her email and Kerry sent a response Kim did not want to be drunk.  But, what if Kerry didn't send a response?  "Ok, Legaspi.  Get it together." Kim whispered out loud.  "Why does this woman still get to you?"  But, she knew the answer.

Kim took a deep breath and made her way up to her office.  She sat down at her desk and opened her laptop.  It's only been a couple hours, she thought, Kerry probably isn't even home from work yet.  As Kim opened her email account she suddenly felt very ill.  There was a message and it was from Kerry.  Kim was sure that Kerry probably sent a message to tell Kim to stop harassing her or to threaten her with a restraining order.  Kim took a deep breath, said a small prayer and opened the message.

I wish that I would have told you that I love you.

Kim's drink hit the hardwood floor and shattered into a thousand pieces.  Her hand flew to her mouth and tears began to roll down her cheeks.  "Oh, Kerry" Kim said, her voice full of emotion and regret.  Why were they both so stubborn?  The realization of how much time they had wasted hit Kim like a ton of bricks and she began to sob.

Suddenly the doubt started to sneak into Kim's head.  What if Kerry meant that she loved her at the time they were together but not now?  But, she did say "love" and not "loved."  Kim knew that she had to know the answer and she was not going to waste anymore time, she wiped her tears away and began to type.

Message:  still love or did love?
Kim hit send and knew the answer would change her life.

Kerry Weaver was nervous.  She was pacing, back and forth across her office, the computer screen glowing at her.  It almost seemed to be
mocking her, saying "you fool, do you really think she still wants you?"  But, Kim had sent the message there must be some reason.  Kerry's thoughts were abruptly interrupted by that annoying computer voice telling her she had a new email message.  Kerry stopped her pacing and stared at the computer.  Unable to move she just stared until good sense took over.  "All right Kerry, you can do this," she whispered to her self, "one step at a time."  Kerry slowly made her way over the computer, sat down and looked at the screen.  She felt her heart drop to her stomach, it was that feeling you get when the roller coaster flips upside down.  It was Kim.  "Kim."  Kerry spoke her name out loud, "Oh, Kim."

The very cool, very stoic Dr. Weaver had been replaced with a very nervous, very frightened and very apprehensive Kerry.  Slowly Kerry
moved her cursor to the email message.  Maybe she should just hit delete and save her self any heartache.  She loved Kim and wanted another chance but what if things didn't work out this time.  Kerry knew she would not survive losing Kim again.  But, just as suddenly as the doubt crept in it was gone and Kerry knew this was a chance she had to take.

Still love or did love?

Kerry was stunned.  To use an old cliché, you could have knocked her over with a feather.  Was Kim serious?  Of course Kerry still loved
her; she had never stopped loving her.  She had been angry, she had felt hopeless, she had felt like running away and leaving everything, but she had never stopped loving Kim.  Kerry all of a sudden felt a renewed sense of energy.  She was going to win Kim back.  She was going to have the life that she dreamed of.  She was done hiding, done being scared.  She was ready to take control.

Message:  I have always loved you since the beginning of time.  I will love you until I take my last breath.  I fall asleep at night with dreams of you and awake in the morning filled with regret.  I need to see your beautiful face and touch your magnificent body.  I can still recall every inch of you and I still crave your touch.  Don't be afraid, Kim.  I am ready to love you the way you deserve.  I am ready to give myself to you.
Kerry hit send without a second glance.  This time she was going to make this work.  It didn't matter where Kim was…Kerry would go to the
ends of the earth to have this chance with her love.

Part Three

To hear you speak my name, to see you search my eyes.
To feel you touch my hand, it more than satisfies.
If I was not the first, just say I'll be the last.
It's too much to expect, but it's not too much to ask.

The amazing sound of Mary Chapin Carpenter filled Kim's apartment.  Maybe Kim was fooling herself to think that her and Kerry could just pick up where they left off three years ago.  Was she just setting herself up for more heartache?  Here she was on a Saturday night, listening to sad music and waiting for an email from her ex-girlfriend.  "Ok," said Kim, "I am going to check my email one more time.  If there is no message from Kerry I'm going out."  Kim walked back into her office.  She slowly opened her laptop.  There was a message and it was from Kerry.

I have always loved you since the beginning of time.

Kim began to weep.  This was the moment she had waited for all her life.  The moment where you know that everything is going to be ok.  The moment where you know that the pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall together.  Kim ran her finger over Kerry's words on the screen.  "Oh, Ker," Kim said out loud, "We are going to make this work."  Kim slowly started to type.

Message:  You are the one.  You have always been the one.  I miss you.  I love you.  I need you.  I want to start again.
Kim suddenly stopped typing.  She made a decision right at that moment.  She was not going to waste anymore time.  Kim walked out of her office, down the stairs and out the front door.

Kerry was worried.  She had spent the good part of an hour waiting for a response from Kim.  Maybe she said too much?  Moved too fast?  She didn't want to scare Kim away.  Why wasn't Kim responding?  Kerry took another drink of her scotch.  Maybe she should send another message and tell Kim she was kidding.  "Damn it, Weaver," Kerry said to herself, "why did you have to tell her so much?"  Kerry's thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of the telephone.  "Who the hell could that be?" Kerry walked to the caller ID.  She didn't recognize the number although it was local.  She picked up the phone.

"Dr. Kerry Weaver."  There was nothing but silence.  "Hello?  Is anyone there?"  Kerry was about to hang the phone back up when she heard it.

"Ker, Is it really you?"

Kerry braced herself against the wall.  "Kim."

"It's me Kerry."

"Oh, Kim."  Kerry began to cry.  This was what she had waited for all along.  To hear the sound of Kim's voice once again.

"Kerry, please don't cry," Kim pleaded as she too felt the tears roll down her cheeks.  "Kerry, I'm outside your front door.  Can I come in?"

"You're where?"

"On your front step.  Freezing my ass off."  Kim said laughing, "You wanna open the door or do you want your neighbors to just keep staring at me?"  Kim heard the phone being set down.  "Oh shit," she thought, "Kerry's probably going to come out here with a baseball bat and chase me off her property."

The front door opened and Kim was faced with the most beautiful sight she had ever seen.  Kerry's hair was longer than it was when Kim had left.  Kim could tell Kerry had been working out, if possible her body looked even better than it did before.  But, the thing that caught Kim were those eyes.  They were like everything Kim had remembered, a beautiful green made even more beautiful because they were so full of emotion.

"Kerry."  Kim breathed her name more than she really spoke it.  "I think you are more beautiful than I remembered."

Still Kerry said nothing.  She only stared, the tears streaming down her cheeks.  Finally she spoke, "Kim, is it really you?"

"It's me Ker, I'm here."

Kerry grabbed Kim and held her as tightly as she could.  Both the women cried, not because they were sad but because their dreams were truly coming true.  Kerry stepped back from Kim, wiping the tears from Kim's beautiful face.  "I never thought I would see you again.  I missed you so much Kim."

"I missed you too Kerry.  But, can we talk about this inside.  I think my face is beginning to freeze."

Kerry stepped back to let Kim into the house and back into her life.

Part Four

Kerry Weaver shut her front door and turned to find herself literally face to face with the love of her life.  Kim was inches from Kerry with a look in her eye that spelled out every emotion Kim had felt for the last three years.  It was a look of love, regret, fear, remorse, anger and lust.  Kim slowly pushed Kerry against the front door and lowered her mouth to Kerry's ear.  "I have missed you so much Kerry."  Kim whispered.

Kerry moaned as she felt Kim's breath on her neck.  She had missed so much about Kim.  Kim slowly ran her tongue over Kerry's earlobe.  Kerry's head fell back against the door and Kim took that opportunity to slowly kiss Kerry's neck.  Kerry lifted her head and took Kim's face in her hands.  "I've missed you too, Kim."  Kerry said as she kissed Kim's full lips.

The kiss started out slow and gentle and then became a kiss that stops time.  Kerry felt Kim's tongue run over her bottom lip.sucking and biting.  Kerry took this opportunity to slide her tongue into Kim's mouth.  Kim pushed her entire body against Kerry.  Kerry ran her hands up Kim's back under her shirt and against her hot skin.  "Kerry."  Kim moaned.

Kerry, using every ounce of self control she had, pushed herself back from Kim.  "Kim," Kerry whispered, "don't you think we should talk first."

No, Kerry.  I don't."  Kim said as she pushed herself back into Kerry's body.  "We both want this and if we talk first we are only going to be thinking about this."

"I guess you're right."  Kerry moaned as she again found Kim's sweet lips.

"My sweatshirt looks good on you Ker." Kim said as she grabbed the bottom of it and pulled it over Kerry's head.  Kim was pleased to see that Kerry was not wearing a bra and began running her thumb over Kerry's nipple..first one then the other.  Kerry leaned her head back against the door and moaned.  Kim lowered her head and took one of Kerry's hard nipples in her mouth.  Slowly she ran her tongue all around.sucking and softly biting.  Kerry plunged her hands into Kim's hair and pulled her closer.  Kim responded by grabbing the waist of Kerry's sweatpants and yanking them down around her ankles and then throwing them across the room.  Kim was even more pleased to see that Kerry was not wearing any panties.  Kerry's crutch fell to the floor as Kim slid down her body.  Kim ran her tongue over Kerry's hard stomach and kissed her way over Kerry's hips.  At this point Kerry was unable to form complete sentences all she knew was that she wanted Kim and she wanted her now.  Kim, sensing Kerry's need dropped to her knees and nuzzled her lips in Kerry's soft curls.  "God, I've missed you Kerry."  Kim said and she spread Kerry's legs and draped her bad leg over her shoulder.

Kerry could feel Kim's hot breath between her legs and she shuddered in anticipation.  Kim decided that was all the coaxing she needed and plunged her tongue into Kerry's wet pussy.  Kerry let loose with what some would call a primal scream.  She grabbed Kim's hair with both hands and pulled her closer.  Kim ran her tongue up to Kerry's clit as she pushed two fingers inside her.  Kerry rocked herself against Kim's fingers and moaned Kim's name.  Hearing Kerry say her name was almost too much for Kim.  She felt a rush of wetness between her legs and was sure she must be soaked by now.  But, this distraction did not keep her from the task at hand.  Kim pushed one more finger into Kerry and continued to lick and suck Kerry's hard clit.  Kim knew Kerry's body so well, even after all this time, and she knew Kerry was close to orgasm.

Kerry felt her whole body shudder and the one leg she was standing on turned to jelly.  Kerry screamed Kim's name and  pushed herself against Kim's mouth and hand.  Kerry was having the most intense orgasm of her life.  This wasn't just about sex.  It was about all the time she had missed with Kim and every emotion she had felt in the last three years.  Kim felt it too.something was different.  This moment had just changed their lives.  Kim pulled herself back up Kerry's body.  Kerry wrapped her arms around Kim's neck and kissed her deeply.  Both women had tears in their eyes.  "Kim, I love you."  Kerry whispered.

"I love you too, Kerry."  Kim said as the tears began to roll down her face.

"Why don't we move this reunion to the bedroom." Kerry said smiling.  "And tomorrow we can talk."

Part Five

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder and the rain
To quietly pass me by

Kim Legaspi opened her eyes and was sure she was dreaming. She was once again in Kerry's bed. If this had been a dream it was one hell of a dream Kim thought as she began to remember the previous nights activities. No one would ever guess that Kerry was such a wildcat in bed. Kim's thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of very loud music. Kim chuckled to herself as she remembered Kerry's love of heavy metal. No one would ever believe it but Kerry Weaver was a closet head banger. Kim had come across Kerry's collection when they first started dating and she couldn't believe her eyes or her ears. Kim also knew that Kerry listened to heavy metal only when she was in a good mood. Kim threw back the covers and began her journey downstairs. She walked into the kitchen to see Kerry making breakfast. Kerry was wearing a dark blue silk robe and shaking her sexy ass. Kim glanced at the CD player in the corner to find out exactly who was doing the screaming.

"Are you just going to stand there naked or are you going to come over here and say good morning properly and let me feel you up?" Kerry growled, startling Kim out of her thoughts. Kim slowly strolled over to Kerry and wrapped her arms around the redheads neck.

"I was just trying to figure out what this music is that your listening to."

"Guns and Roses, Kim. Why, do you like it?" Kerry said with a smirk.

"If it makes you happy I love it. Now, I do believe you said something about saying good morning properly." Kim said as she kissed Kerry softly on the lips. Kerry ran her hands over Kim's bare back and down to the top of her ass.

"You make me happy, honey." Kerry said as she nuzzled into Kim's neck. "And, as much as I want to take you right here on the kitchen table I think we need to talk."

"I know, Kerry." said Kim. "Let me go put some clothes on.we can have some breakfast and then I promise we will talk."

Kerry watched Kim walk out of the room and then continued to fix breakfast.

Kim stood in the bathroom brushing her teeth and marveling over how much Kerry had changed in the last three years. She was much more confident and sure of herself than Kim had ever seen least out of the E.R.. Kim reminded herself to ask Kerry just what had changed. The sound of Kerry's voice telling her that breakfast was ready interrupted Kim's thoughts. "I can't imagine anything better than hearing her voice every morning for the rest of my life." Kim said to herself as she walked out of the bathroom.

Kerry busied herself making breakfast all the while trying to figure out how to tell Kim everything she felt. Kerry was sure she was going to do things differently this time. She would not lose Kim again.

Kim walked into the kitchen and wrapped her arms around Kerry's waist. "What's for breakfast? I seemed to have worked up an appetite last night." Kim whispered into Kerry's ear. Kim was glad to see that not everything about Kerry had changed. Kim was still able to make her blush.

"Why don't you eat something, smartass." Kerry said with a laugh. "I made blueberry pancakes and sausage links.if I remember correctly it's one of your favorite breakfast combinations."

Kim sat down at the table and began devouring one of Kerry's world famous and enormous blueberry pancakes. Kerry just smiled as she watched Kim eat. It was like watching a four year old eat pancakes. Kerry had never seen anyone enjoy food as much as Kim Legaspi.

"What made you send that email after all this time?" Kerry blurted out.

Kim stopped chewing and looked at Kerry. "Oh shit, she looks like a deer caught in the headlights," Kerry thought.

"I'm sorry Kim I shouldn't have just thrown that out there like that. But, I do really want to know."

Kim put her fork down and swallowed her last bite of pancakes. "Kerry I am going to be completely honest with you. Every month or so I would sit down at my computer and write you a beautiful love letter. I would tell you how much I loved you and missed you. How sorry I was for the mistakes I made and I would beg you for a second chance. I never had the guts to send it. I always thought I would be able to but I always chickened out at the last minute. The email that I sent you was like nothing I had ever written before. I had the most amazing dream about you the night before and I could not get the feel, the smell or the taste of you out of my mind. But, Kerry.." Kim paused, "I don't know how to tell you this."

"What is it Kim? You can tell me anything."

Kim took a deep breath and then blurted it out. "Kerry, I sent the message accidentally."

Now Kerry looked like the deer caught in the headlights. "So, you didn't want to send it? It was an accident?"

"No, Kerry I wanted to send it. But, I didn't mean to send it. Honey, if I was going to send you a message I wanted it to be beautiful and tell you everything that I felt about you and us. I wouldn't have sent the message that I did."

Kerry stood up from the table, unable to look at Kim. "Kim, I don't know what I think about this. I guess I had some romantic notion in my head that you were so overcome with your need to be with me again that you sent the email."

"Kerry.." Kim started to say.

"No, Kim. Let me finish. But, here you are telling me that you accidentally sent an email that caused me to pour my heart out to you.and then you show up at my doorstep and jump right back into bed with me. How do you expect me to feel about that Kim?"

"Kerry, Honey, please don't think that I didn't want to call you show up here and take you in my arms and promise that everything would be ok. But, Kerry I couldn't do it because I was afraid that you would reject me or that you would find someone else. Kerry, I don't know if it was fate or what it was that caused me to send that message to you. I do know that I believe it worked out for the best. Baby, it brought us back together and we are both in a better place. Kerry, I came back to this house and found the woman I love had turned into the woman I always knew she could be. You have let the Kerry that only a few people ever got to see out in the open. I don't know what changed but I think the gods were smiling when I sent that message because they knew that you and I were meant to be together. And I think you know it too."

The tears were rolling down Kerry's cheeks as she turned to look at Kim. "Kim, I do know it. I have always known that you were my destiny. But, I have some things I need to tell you before we get into this any further."

"Anything Kerry. I am not going anywhere." Kim said as she took Kerry in her arms.

Kerry took her seat at the table and took a deep breath. "I guess I should start with Sandy Lopez."

"Who's Sandy Lopez, honey?" Kim said as there was a knock at the door.

"I think that's her now. Kim, you better go upstairs for a while I have something I have to take care of."

Part Six

"Kerry?" Kim started to say.

"Not now Kim. I promise I will explain later. Please just trust me and go upstairs."

Kim nodded and turned to go as Kerry began to open the door.

"Man, Kerry what took you so long? It's freezing out here." Sandy said as she pushed her way into the warm house.

"Hey, Sandy. How are you?" Kerry asked.

"I'm fine. But, what's wrong with you and why aren't you dressed? I thought we were going to have some lunch."

"Listen, San I need to talk to you but I don't think this is the best time."

"What the hell is going on here Weaver? And, who's truck is in the driveway? I thought we were going to have lunch and talk about us and about getting back together."

"Sandy, I told you that we could talk about our relationship but I never said anything about us getting back together."

"If we aren't getting back together I guess we don't have a relationship. And you never answered me about who's truck is in the driveway."

"Why does it have to be all or nothing with you Sandy? I care about you very much but you know as well as I do that we are not good for each other as anything more than friends. And, as for who's truck is in the driveway that's none of your.."

"It's my truck." Kim said as she strolled down the stairs.

"Please Kim, let me handle this." Kerry said as she put her head in her hand.

"Kim? As in Kim Legaspi? The woman who broke your heart? What the hell is she doing here? Never mind.stupid question.I can see exactly what she's doing here." Sandy said as she turned to leave.

"Sandy, please wait." Kerry began.

"Wait for what Kerry? Wait for the blonde goddess to dump you again.break your heart again and then I'll be good enough. Is that what I'm supposed to wait for Kerry?"

Kim who had said nothing since claiming her truck took this opportunity to speak. "I don't think you have to worry about that."

"I don't think I recall speaking to you, Blondie. So, I'll appreciate it if you stay the hell out of my business." Sandy said turning to Kim.

"Well, just so happens that Kerry is my business and I don't appreciate you showing up and acting like an ass."

Both Sandy and Kim were now face to face and both of them were puffing up like roosters in the hen yard. "You know," Sandy began, "after what Kerry told me about the way you treated her I always wanted to meet you so I could tell you exactly what I thought about you."

"And what is it that you think about me Sandy? I'm dying to know."

"You better watch it Blondie or I'm gonna knock you on your ass." Sandy started to say. Both woman turned their heads to the sound of the front door slamming. Sandy was the first to react. She opened the door to see Kerry climbing in to Kim's truck. "Looks like Red stole your truck." Sandy said with a smirk on her face. Kim turned and looked at the table where she had left her keys to see that not only were they gone but Kerry had taken Kim's cell phone too.

Kerry looked almost comical driving Kim's oversized truck but the look on her face would have scared the laughter out of anyone. Kerry couldn't recall a moment when she had been more angry. She couldn't believe that Kim and Sandy were acting the way they were. Kerry and Sandy hadn't been together for almost two months now and as much as Sandy thought it was a good idea for them to get back together Kerry knew the truth. Her and Sandy were great friends but lousy partners. As for Kim, Kerry knew that her and Kim belonged together and she was elated to have another chance to make their relationship work. What Kerry didn't understand was what caused two grown women to suddenly start acting like teenage boys.

Kerry picked up Kim's cell phone and began dialing the familiar number.

"Hello." came the voice at the other end.

"Susan, it's me."

"Hey Kerry. What's going on?"

"I'm driving an oversized truck that doesn't belong to me. I'm wearing nothing but a silk robe and I have Sandy and Kim at my house probably beating the crap out of each other by now." Kerry blurted out.

"Oh!?" Was all Susan could say.

"Susan, I'm just pulling in to your driveway and I could really use a cup of Irish coffee and a shoulder to cry on."

"No, problem Kerry. The front door is open and I'm starting the coffee." Susan said as she hung up.

Susan heard the front door open and close and turned to see Kerry standing in the kitchen with tears running down her face. Susan reached for Kerry and pulled her into an embrace.

"So, Kim's back?" Susan asked. "When did all this happen?"

"Last night." Kerry said through her tears.

"Ok.I'm sure you'll tell me all about that later. In the meantime let's get some clothes on you..because I can see why you have two woman fighting over you." Susan said looking at Kerry's chest. Kerry looked down and then back at Susan with a smirk.

"You're a doctor, Susan. You know that's what happens when you get cold."

"Maybe so Ker. But if I keep staring at them I might switch teams. So, let's get you dressed before you have to send out for my toaster oven." Susan said with a laugh as she went to get Kerry something warm to wear.

Kerry and Susan were sitting at the kitchen table drinking their coffee and laughing.

"Sandy really told Kim she was going to knock her on her ass?" Susan asked. "That's hilarious."

"I guess it is pretty funny but I'm still pissed at both of them. And I hope they didn't break anything or bleed on my carpet.I just had them cleaned." Kerry said with a smile. Susan burst out laughing.almost spitting her coffee at Kerry.

"Listen, why don't you stay here and I'll over to your house and see what the damage is."

"Are you sure you don't mind Susan? I just don't think I can face them yet."

"No problem. Abby is on her way over here to stay with you and I'm going to go break up the fight and do any suturing that may need to be done."

"Hey, there's that gorgeous redhead most of Chicago is fighting over?" Abby yelled as she walked into the kitchen and kissed Kerry on the head. Kerry and Susan both broke into another fit of laughter.

"Ok, I'm on my way." Susan said as she got up from the table. "I'll have the bodies cleared out by the time you get home." Susan kissed Kerry on the head and then whispered in her ear, "Everything is going to be fine, Ker. I promise." Kerry smiled at Susan and thanked the gods that she had such good friends in Susan and Abby.

So, tell me what it is you do that causes two woman to resort to violence to have you?" Abby said to Kerry.sending Kerry off in another round of laughter.

Susan opened Kerry's front door slowly to find Kim sitting on the couch and Sandy sitting in the recliner. Kim looked up at Susan. Susan noticed that Kim was sporting a black eye.a closer look at Sandy revealed a fat lip.

"Don't tell me you're another one of Kerry's ex-girlfriends. I'm beat." Kim said as Susan burst out laughing.

Part Seven

"Kim, I'm Susan Lewis." Susan said as she extended her hand to Kim. "Kerry and I are old friends and colleges."

"Is Kerry ok? She wasn't answering my cell phone when I tried to call." Kim asked.

"She's fine. She's at my house with Abby. But she is pretty pissed at both of you." Susan said with a smirk on her face.

"I bet she is. Red does have a temper."

"Sandy, how nice of you to speak up. Looks like you got things a little wound up around here this morning." Susan remarked.

"Good morning to you to Susan." Sandy said with a sneer. There was no love lost between these two. Sandy thought that Susan was too interested in Kerry's life and Susan thought Sandy was not the right woman for Kerry and had no problem telling her.

"Susan, this is my fault. I overreacted. I guess my emotions were running a little high after last night." Kim said softly.

"Well, let's not place blame. We'll let Kerry do that." Susan said with a laugh. "But, let's get you two cleaned up before Kerry gets here."

"I know you think I hit her Susan but she actually hit me." Sandy offered.

"I didn't hit you was an accident." Kim said as she turned to Susan to explain. "After Kerry left I was upset and I went into the kitchen to call her. As I came around the corner I knocked my coffee cup on the floor. When I bent over to pick it up I hit my eye on the corner of the counter. I didn't realize Sandy was right behind me and when I stood up I hit her in the lip with the back of my head."

The room was suddenly filled with Susan's boisterous laughter. "That's a great story ladies. I hope you can get Kerry to believe it."

"Get Kerry to believe what?"

All heads turned to see a very pissed off redhead in the doorway. Kim started to walk towards Kerry when she was abruptly stopped. "Kim, please go upstairs. I will talk to you when I am through talking to Sandy." Kerry said as she stopped Kim in her tracks.

"But, Kerry."

"No, buts Kim. Go upstairs and I will deal with you shortly." Kerry said as she turned to face Sandy. Kim slowly made her way up the stairs like a puppy that had been scolded but not before she heard Kerry say to Sandy.."Well, San. I guess it's time we had that talk about our relationship."

Kim walked into Kerry's room and took in the scene. Clothes were thrown all over the room, the sheets were a jumbled mess and Kim could still smell Kerry's perfume. Kim sat on the edge of the bed and put her head in her hands. She was sure she had completely screwed things up with Kerry. 'Why did you have to act like such an ass, Legaspi? Kerry's probably downstairs right now looking for a way to get rid of you.'

"Looks like someone had sex in here last night."

The voice startled Kim and she looked up to see Susan smiling in the doorway.

"It's probably going to be the last time after the way I acted this morning." Kim said softly.

Susan laughed. "Are you kidding? In case you forgot Kerry loves you."

"Then why am I up here waiting to be punished and she's downstairs talking to Sandy."

Susan shook her head and looked at Kim with disbelief. "Wow, for a psychiatrist you're pretty insecure. Kerry is telling Sandy that they are officially over.not that Sandy doesn't already know it."

"Then why didn't Kerry just tell her that when she came in?"

"Kim, Sandy and Kerry are really good friends who tried to become lovers. They have been through a lot and Kerry does love her. But, Kerry could never give herself to Sandy because you still owned her heart. Her relationship with Sandy wasn't a fling but Kerry was honest with Sandy from the beginning. I think Sandy always thought she could love Kerry enough for both of them and make everything work. Kerry doesn't want to lose her friendship with Sandy and you need to understand that."

"How do you know so much about this? When I left Kerry didn't have anyone she socialized with outside of work."

"Well, Kim. That's something you can thank Sandy for. She helped Kerry show the world the real Kerry Weaver. Not that Dr. Weaver doesn't make a few appearances now and then but they are few and far between. Although, I still do love to see her yell at a sorta makes my day." Susan finished with a laugh.

"Thanks, Susan. And not just for kicking me in the ass but for being Kerry's friend."

"No problem. I love Kerry like she was my sister. And I am very protective of her. So, here's your warning. If you break Kerry's heart again you will have me to deal with. And, most people will tell you, I am not pleasant to deal with. Kerry and I have been through many bottles of wine and many boxes of tissue talking about you. I know that she loves you and I'm pretty sure you love her. If you are not serious about making this relationship work you need to get out now and I will try and repair the damage. The choice is yours." Susan said while looking directly into Kim's eyes.

Kim took a deep breath and looked right back at Susan. "Susan, I have loved Kerry since the first moment I saw her. There is no one who ever has or ever will compare to her. I am here for the long run and if I hurt her I hope you do kick my ass."

"She won't have to. I'll kick your ass myself, Legaspi." Both Kim and Susan looked up to see Kerry leaning in the doorway. Kim quickly stood and walked toward Kerry.

"Ker, I am so sorry. I know I acted like an jerk and I know I pissed you off. I love you so much and I know you love me and I know I was being insecure and I didn't hit Sandy and.."

"Kim," Kerry said with a laugh. "stop rambling. I know you didn't hit Sandy, I know you love me and yes, you were acting like a jerk. Now, just hold on and I will deal with you in a minute." Kerry turned to Susan and wrapped her in an embrace. She whispered in Susan's ear, "Thanks, Suse. Thanks for being a great friend. Now get the hell out of here so I can ravage this woman's body. Unless you want to stay and watch."

Susan whispered back, "Don't tempt me." She kissed Kerry on the cheek and made her way down the stairs and out the front door.

"Kerry I know you're mad and I don't know why I acted the way I did.." Kim was cut off my Kerry's lips on hers. Kerry steered Kim towards the bed and pushed the blonde down on her back. Kerry dropped to her knees before Kim and then she spoke.

"Do you know how you can make this up to me Kim?"

"I'll do anything Kerry." Kim said breathlessly.

Kerry looked up at her with pure lust in her eyes and in a deep voice spoke. "I'm counting on it."

Part Eight

Kerry stood and looked down at Kim. Kim began to get up when Kerry spoke, "Stay right where you are Kim. I'm in charge now." Kerry pulled her sweatshirt over her head and threw it across the room. She heard the catch in Kim's breath and knew she couldn't look at her just yet. Kerry then pushed her sweats to the floor and walked towards Kim. "Kim, I want you to take your clothes off." Kerry said with a husky voice. Kim nodded and slowly rose off the bed. She pulled her t-shirt over her head, her nipples already hard from just looking at Kerry. Kim pushed her boxers over her hips..she could feel the wetness on her thighs and was sure Kerry could tell that she was already soaked. Kim stood with her eyes cast downward, afraid if she looked at Kerry she would not be able to control herself. "Kim, go and lay on the bed." Kim nodded and crawled back into the king size bed. Kim lay there for what seemed like hours when she felt the bed shift. Kerry crawled on her hands and knees up to Kim's body. She straddled Kim's hips and placed her hands next to Kim's head. "Look at me Kim." Kerry spoke firmly.

'I can't Kerry." Kim whimpered.

"Yes, you can Kim."

Kim slowly opened her eyes to look up at Kerry. Those green eyes were staring intently at her. The look in Kerry's eyes was enough to take Kim's breath away. "Kerry." Kim moaned.

Kerry placed her fingers over Kim's lips. "I love you, Kim. I have always loved you. I have spent the last three years trying to find a way to have you back in my life and at the same time trying to find a way to let you go. It took me a while to realize that I could never let you go. Without you my life was empty. I still had work, and friends and even Sandy. But, without you none of that mattered. I know it's a cliché, but, Kim you complete me. You give me a reason to get up in the morning and look at the day differently than I ever have before. I need you Kim Legaspi. I need you to love me. And, I need to love you."

Kim continued to stare at Kerry with tears running down her face. "Ker, I need to love you too but more importantly, I want to love you. I want to spend the rest of my life looking into your beautiful face. I want to wake up with you in my arms. You are it for me, Kerry's all about you."

Kerry slowly leaned her head towards Kim's. "I love you." she breathed and then kissed Kim's lips. Kerry felt Kim arch up towards her. Kim moaned when she felt Kerry's wetness on her stomach. Kerry kissed her way over Kim's chin and down to her neck. She made her way to the spot right below Kim's right ear and licked softly. Kim moaned and again pushed her body into Kerry. Kim tried to slide her hands up Kerry's sides when she was stopped. Kerry whispered in Kim's ear, "I told you, I'm in charge." Kerry continued to work her way down Kim's body. She bent her head to take one of Kim's nipples in her hot mouth while she stroked the other with her finger tips.

"Kerry, please.."

"I'm just getting to know you again, Kim. It's been a long time." Kerry said as she kissed her way over Kim's flat stomach. Kerry ran her tongue over Kim's hip bones while she ran her hands over Kim's thighs. Kerry slid down Kim's body dragging her wet center over Kim. Kim shuddered..goosebumps breaking out all over her body. "Look what you do to me, Kim. I'm soaked." Kerry slowly made her way to Kim's inner thigh. She kissed it lightly and she was very pleased to see that Kim was dripping with anticipation. Kerry ran one finger through Kim's folds delighted with her creamy wetness.

"God, Kerry." Kim moaned as she pushed her hips upward.

Kerry slowly placed a kiss on Kim's center. "I love you," she whispered into her lover. She was rewarded with a deep moan from Kim. Kerry knew she had to release Kim..this was torture on both of them. Kerry plunged her tongue into Kim. Kim's body arched upward as she screamed Kerry's name. Kerry pushed two fingers into Kim while she kissed her clit like she had previously kissed Kim's lips. She knew Kim was not going to last long as she felt Kim began to contract around her fingers. Kerry pushed one more finger into Kim and continued her assault on Kim's hard clit. That was all that Kim needed. She pushed herself into Kerry's mouth and came hard. She screamed Kerry's name and the names of more than one god. Kerry removed her fingers from Kim and ran her tongue through Kim's center, drinking as much of Kim's essence as she could get. Kim shuddered with aftershocks and ran her fingers through Kerry's hair. " I love you," Kerry whispered once more.

"I love you," Kim breathed. "I love you so much, Kerry."

Kerry moved back up Kim's body and tucked her head under Kim's chin. She placed her hand over Kim's heart and spoke softly, "I am so happy that you trust me with this..I promise to take good care of it."

Kim was touched by her lovers words and spoke the only possible response, "I know you will Kerry. That's why it has always belonged to you."
